A perfect moment (poem)

25 Sep

Contentment just for a moment

A perfect moment

A perfect moment is surrounding me,
A moment of peace and of harmony,
Though I could not say just why this should be,
There is just something here, setting me free.

Just now within this moment I belong,
It could be that I am singing a song,
Or maybe outside, just strolling along,
Whatever it may be, I now feel strong.

A perfect moment, a sense of pure calm,
There’s no need to worry, there’s no alarm.
Happiness is resting within my palm,
The breeze of blissfulness brushing my arm.

I shall cherish this moment while it is here,
Relish this contentment, holding it near.
But I will let it go, let it disappear,
For I know more perfect moments will appear.
