The danger of leaving a box empty near a cat
Box to Box
This box is just the right size for me,
A good place to rest after my tea.
I shall sleep in it, out here in the hall,
Curling up tightly into a ball.
Although a quick wash I must first do,
Before I sink in here, out of your view.
What do you mean by disturbing my sleep?
I found this box, it is mine to keep!
You can’t have it back for at least an hour,
Watch out, for my mood is turning sour.
I’m not pleased with you, no more will I purr,
You may find a claw if you touch my fur.
Why have you placed a second box just there?
I have no plans of moving anywhere!
I can see you’re putting in there, a treat,
A few tasty biscuits for me to eat.
Maybe I will choose to move out that way,
This box is yours, I don’t need it today.
