Just before Christmas (poem)

21 Dec

Just before Christmas

Just before Christmas the excitement is growing,
Children are playing and wishing it was snowing.
Santa’s reindeer are ready to pull his great sleigh,
So he can fill up their stockings with games to play.

Just before Christmas we sings carols out loud,
Sharing our happiness with others in the crowd.
Giving out kindness to strangers all around,
Laughing in joy at all the goodwill that is found.

Just before Christmas we rush around to prepare,
For that special day when the family are there.
So much to be done! But then it is all worthwhile,
When they open their presents and you see them smile.
