Through troubled times I will walk beside you (poem)

I will help you to get through

Through troubled times I will walk beside you

Through troubled times I will walk beside you,
I will give a helping hand,
And if upon the road of life, you stumble,
Then I will help you to stand.

Through the trials and troubles we meet in life,
I will be there night and day,
And when upon life’s road, there is only strife,
Then I will seek a better way.

Through the struggles and hardships we must face,
I will bring hope to your door,
And then we can go searching to find a place,
Where harmony lives once more.

Through love and kindness, compassion and hope,
I will share my heart with you,
And so upon the road of life, we will cope,
As we find our way to the new.

Within ourselves there is a way (poem)

In troubled times there is still love.

Within ourselves there is a way

Within ourselves there is a way,
That takes us through every day.
That shows us all where we should start,
And begins within our beating heart.
This lets us know we are alive,
And says to us, we can survive!
That we can choose to be true,
To ourselves and the world in view.
That we can move and lend a hand,
Helping those with no strength to stand.

But what if we are weak and lost,
And feel that caring has a cost.
That we cannot walk for ourself,
But just sit quietly on a shelf.
Just watching as the world go by,
Afraid to give another try.
And yet
from that place, we can see,
That within our heart, our love is free.
Love has wings and is light and fast,
So throw it to all those, who go past.

Take a moment to smile (poem)

A smile can make such a difference to our lives.
(This is a double rhyme poem)

Take a moment to smile

Take a moment to smile, just here in this place,
And after a while, it will cheer up your face.
Now spread it around for anyone to see,
Let it be easily found by others, for free!

If your smile finds another, that it can reach out to,
Then you can help each other, on this day, to get through.
For a smile will bring hope, in those times of great sorrow,
Helping us to cope and find a better tomorrow.

Take a moment to smile, let it enter within,
When facing a sad trial, it will help you to win.
It will lighten your load, releasing your sadness,
Brightening up life’s road, with a touch of gladness.

For a smile can help all, both inside and out,
Gives us strength to stand tall, helps us to tackle our doubt.
If it is too hard to do, just go for a grin,
Then let it seep through you, and your smile will begin.

Waking up in a new day (poem)

A new day brings a freshness into our life.

Waking up in a new day

Waking up each day allows a new life to begin,
Bringing a fresh chance to change this world we live in.
Whatever the dawn, we begin with a new view,
Whatever this day brings, we are beginning anew.
Whatever happened yesterday
 is now in the past,
This day brings new hope for a future that can last.

Open your eyes and wake up within this new light,
Let yesterday’s shadows fade back into the night.
Let today bring the wonders of a world we can share,
Let tomorrow’s dreams show us the best way to get there.
Whatever this day’s ending, let one thought remain,
We have the beauty of this world to wake to again.
