Let the good memories remain (poem) *

The good memories are there inside

Let the good memories remain

Let the good memories remain,
Remember the joy and laughter.
Remember the good times again,
And the smiles will follow after.

Perhaps sadness lingers within,
Maybe just for now you feel blue.
But a brighter day will begin,
Chasing those shadows out of you.

The sun is there every day,
The stars are there every night.
Now and then clouds get in the way,
But they soon move on, out of sight.

Blues skies bring clearness once more,
Sunshine warms the threads of our heart.
Its light unlocking sadness door,
To allow the heartache to depart.

Let the good memories shine through,
Let the love in your soul burn bright.
Let the happiness out of you,
And walk once more in the sunlight.

Positivity’s bus (poem)

You can find a brighter place

Positivity’s Bus

There are just dark clouds to be seen on this gloomy day,
And it looks like it will be just the same tomorrow.
That it’s making my own life feel so dull and grey,
I can feel myself filling with sadness and sorrow

Perhaps I just need to sit and think this all through,
Must this gloomy weather really make me feel sad?
For above those dark grey clouds, the sky is still blue,
And the birds are still singing, which makes me glad.

Whatever is happening in the world outside,
Does not mean that I have to be gloomy within.
From this dark and gloomy day, let’s no longer hide,
I will go and find something cheerful to begin!

Let’s ignore all of this gloom found within us,
It’s only living in there with our permission.
Let’s go for a ride on positivity’s bus,
And make finding love and happiness our mission.
