I’m not quite normal

I’m not quite normal, just a difference here and there,
Maybe it’s the way I dress, or how I brush my hair?
Maybe it’s the way I act, or the way that I walk?
Maybe it’s the way I stand, or the way that I talk?

But hang on a moment! What is normal anyway?
If we were all normal, then what would we have to say?
Without our variations, our lives would have no thrill,
Without our differences, the world would just stand still.

Nothing would ever change, nothing new would pop up here,
There would be no challenge, no reason to clap and cheer.
No reason to walk a different way, or to explore,
I think if I was normal, I would be quite a bore!
