Let the sadness pass through you (poem)

Let the sadness pass through you

Lost within sadness, feeling withdrawn and forlorn,
The warmth is beyond reach upon this sunny dawn.
There is too much sadness reaching into your heart,
The world around you seems to be falling apart.
The world around you has brought this sadness to you,
And within your world there seems to be no way through.

But this sadness you feel will not linger nor last,
Your world will change and this will fade into your past.
You may not be able to feel anything just now,
But that brighter day will come, for your heart knows how.
Your heart knows that as time passes, your heart will heal,
Even thought just for now, that is not how you feel.

Do not dwell on the sadness you have found here,
The world of sunshine will slowly rise and get near.
The world of sadness will slowly fade and withdraw,
You will find that your life will have meaning once more.
Just let this sadness within drift gently on by,
One day it will pass through you, leaving a clear sky.

Rainbows within tears (poem)

Rainbows within tears

I thought I caught a rainbow,
Reflecting in your sad eyes.
Bringing to your eyes a glow,
Reflecting the light in the skies.

The rainbow is shedding tears,
Raindrops of colour and light.
Droplets of your pain and fears,
As the storm clouds fade from sight.

Beyond the rainbow is the sun,
To dry up the sadness within.
And once those teardrops are done,
Then its warmth will come on in.

Rainbows within tears are found,
As the sun touches your face.
Gently falling to the ground,
Teardrops seeking a new place.

Then once the teardrops have dried,
The rainbow may fade from view.
But it’s just moved on inside,
For the rainbow lives within you.

Time heals all wounds (poem)

Time heals all wounds

Let time pass, and just let things be,
Release this moment and set it free.
No need to hunt, nor seek to find,
But rest a while with a peaceful mind.

Let time pass, for this time will end,
And only with time will your heart mend.
Only with rest, will your strength regrow,
And only in peace will your pains go.

Let time pass, although it’s hard to do,
Only time can heal those wounds in you.
Trust that your heart knows its own way,
And is leading you to a brighter day.

Let time pass, let the future appear,
For a better world is coming near.
Within you is the strength to survive,
Within you, tomorrow is alive.

The gift of a smile (poem)

The gift of a smile

A smile can bring forgiveness and a healing to the heart.
A chance to bring a nearness to those who are far apart.
A chance to bridge a divide and for hope to start again,
Love and joy it cannot hide, nor can bitter words remain.

A smile can save a moment, a key to tensions door,
A moving to atonement, a chance to reassure.
It gives a silent greeting to a stranger who’s in need,
Eases stress in a meeting and causes fear to recede.

A smile can bring happiness to those who are feeling low,
Release them from their sadness and help their spirit grow.
Help an injured soul to mend and to heal their pain within,
Brings anger to an end, so a better life can begin.
