Time changes us all (poem)

03 Apr

Time and tide wait for none
B house far 1
Time changes us all

I am somebody else! I have come to realise this day,
And that with each passing year, I have changed in some way.
That the dynamic person I once was, in years gone past,
Can live at a pace that is, well, not nearly so fast.
That this new person within me, that I have just found,
Can find peace in standing still, or just strolling around.

Like the tides gradually shifting the sands in the bay,
So time gradually shifted me to who I am today.
But the person I once was can still be found
deep within,
And without that old me, I would not know where to begin.
For who I am now, has come from those old seeds that were sown,
And it is from those past journeys, that this person has grown.
