Turmoil and Tranquility (poem)

14 Aug

Turmoil and Tranquillity

Turmoil and tranquillity,
Adrift upon the sea of life.
Found within serenity,
Found within times of strife.

Tranquillity brings a peace,
A stillness upon life’s beach,
Where busyness will cease,
As tension floats out of reach.

Turmoil brings revolution,
Waves beating upon the shore.
A time of evolution,
With new oceans to explore

Harmony brings them together,
To sail both calm and angry seas.
Drifting slowly in calm weather,
Racing fast upon a summer’s breeze.

Whichever way life’s current flows,
Together they seek tomorrow.
Sailing through the highs and lows,
With harmony replacing sorrow.
