Let the World spin on its own
Life is spinning round you as you try to find a way,
Confusion replacing certainty on this long day.
When your normality starts to become the unknown,
Make this the moment to let the world spin on its own.
Stepping back will not stop the real world from spinning round,
Harmony returns when you toss your stress to the ground.
Take a walk somewhere, perhaps visit the countryside,
Stroll by the river, then watch nature from a bird hide.
Slow your life down and leave the real world to walk on by,
The sun doesn’t need your help as it crosses the sky.
Life carries on, whether you run or stroll through this day,
The dawn will still arrive as the world spins on its way.
Let all the tension leave you, just go off and explore,
Wander round a park that you visited long before.
Be pleasantly surprised when you see how much has grown,
Life’s amazing when you let the world spin on its own.
