The ships of Love and Hope (poem)

Love and Hope are always around

The ships of Love and Hope

Within the storms of chaos,
Ride the ships of Love and Hope,
And when you are at a loss,
They will come to help you cope.
Sailing through inner turmoil,
Rescuing you from despair,
Guiding you to firmer soil,
And leaving you safely there.

Their sails stand tall and strong,
Their rudders guide you to the new,
Upon those ships you belong,
As they sail into your view.
From the raging sea of life,
They will lift you up onboard,
A refuge from all that strife,
From all that pain and discord.

Take the help they bring to you,
Let Love and Hope guide you now,
Trust in the changes they do,
For Love and Hope will know how.
Their ships are always around,
Sailing through every wave,
And when you want to be found,
They will always come and save.

Let the search for a new life begin (poem)

Finding your inner light once more

Let the search for a new life begin

Let the search for a new life begin,
Seeking a path away from the old.
Chasing all of the shadows within,
Seeking for a candle you can hold.
Turning your heart from its darkest night,
Turning your life towards a new dawn.
Letting fresh hope come into your sight,
Letting go of the dark and forlorn.

Opening up all of life’s windows,
Letting tomorrow come through the door.
Moving to where hopes sunrise now shows,
Letting your sadness be there no more.
Turning away from yesterday’s pain,
Turning towards where your life can restart.
Tomorrow’s hope is there to regain,
Just let its light back into your heart.

Beyond the darkness, a new world comes (poem)

Light will always return to our lives

Beyond the darkness, a new world comes

Beyond the far horizon, the sun will return again,
Though darkness be with us now, its shadows will not remain.
These dark times will depart at the coming of the sun,
For always light follows darkness, somewhere the dawn’s begun.

The spinning of the Earth brings to us both darkness and light,
As soon as the darkness begins, tomorrow is in sight.
It may be a while yet before its light and warm once more,
But it is coming, for it has never failed to come before.

Upon the hint of dawns first light, we can begin to see,
The world tomorrow is bringing to us, to you and to me.
It will not be yesterday, for that was a darkness ago,
And what is coming after the dawn, we have yet to know.

The dark night may have been a struggle, so hard to get through,
That the world coming with this dawn, is so different and new.
Perhaps the darkness changed many things, that we are now afraid,
But in this new dawn, love can be found, and a future remade.

The Candle of Hope (poem)

The Candle of Hope
© Jenny Maryl

Hope within a sparkle of light:

Candle of hope

The candle of hope, a small beacon of light,
One tiny flame that will always burn bright.
So tiny in size, that it is almost not there,
But set it alight and it will spread everywhere.

So small that you feel that it cannot last long,
But throughout all the darkness, it will shine strong.
Through all those shadows of doubt, it will hold fast,
Burning within you until all the doubts pass.

It will still shine strong in your darkest of day,
Bringing you fresh hope and then lighting the way.
Chasing out those fears that are hiding in you,
For the candle of hope will always shine through.
