I haven’t run out of my dreams yet (poem)

There is a dream in there somewhere

I haven’t run out of my dreams yet

I haven’t run out of my dreams yet,
Although it may now seem that way.
It just that I sometimes forget,
To remember them upon this day.

They are all still there deep within,
Safe and secure within my heart.
So, perhaps it’s time to begin,
To seek out a dream to restart.

I will take a moment or two,
Remembering what they all were.
Then pluck one back into view,
And with my life, give it a stir.

It can wash away all the gloom,
That this world has installed in me.
In my mind, make plenty of room,
Preparing to set the dream free.

I will open my life once more,
To all that the dream has to give.
I will seek out happiness door,
And let this dream begin to live.

The ships of Love and Hope (poem)

Love and Hope are always around

The ships of Love and Hope

Within the storms of chaos,
Ride the ships of Love and Hope,
And when you are at a loss,
They will come to help you cope.
Sailing through inner turmoil,
Rescuing you from despair,
Guiding you to firmer soil,
And leaving you safely there.

Their sails stand tall and strong,
Their rudders guide you to the new,
Upon those ships you belong,
As they sail into your view.
From the raging sea of life,
They will lift you up onboard,
A refuge from all that strife,
From all that pain and discord.

Take the help they bring to you,
Let Love and Hope guide you now,
Trust in the changes they do,
For Love and Hope will know how.
Their ships are always around,
Sailing through every wave,
And when you want to be found,
They will always come and save.

Let the search for a new life begin (poem)

Finding your inner light once more

Let the search for a new life begin

Let the search for a new life begin,
Seeking a path away from the old.
Chasing all of the shadows within,
Seeking for a candle you can hold.
Turning your heart from its darkest night,
Turning your life towards a new dawn.
Letting fresh hope come into your sight,
Letting go of the dark and forlorn.

Opening up all of life’s windows,
Letting tomorrow come through the door.
Moving to where hopes sunrise now shows,
Letting your sadness be there no more.
Turning away from yesterday’s pain,
Turning towards where your life can restart.
Tomorrow’s hope is there to regain,
Just let its light back into your heart.
